From Lifestyleandroses we organize an unforgettable trip to León and its surroundings

Monuments, gastronomy, natural environments, history and all the charms of this wonderful city.

León, capital of the province of León, is a city in the northwest of Spain located next to the Bernesga River.

The city is home to many churches and cathedrals that stand out for their architecture and art.

Among them is the cathedral of Leon, Gothic style, dating from the thirteenth century and noted for its towers and flying buttresses.

The Romanesque basilica of San Isidoro, from the tenth century, is known for its paintings and royal tombs.

A few kilometers from Leon is Boñar and nearby we found this incredible place.

Museum of Wildlife in Valdehuesa, Province of León

Summer scheduleWe open on Monday, April 23 and 30(Until October 15) From Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 to 19:30

HISTORY
Twelve long years ago our President of the Junta de Castilla y Leon Juan Vicente Herrera inaugurated this Museum accompanied by the President of the Diputación José Antonio Diez, the Mayor of Boñar and the Rector of the University of León Ángel Penas, as well as numerous authorities of the province. The work of Julio González, mayor of Valdepiélago, then a tourism deputy who was the great promoter of this project, is noteworthy.
In these years have passed about six hundred thousand visitors and among them more than two hundred thousand children accompanied by their parents or teachers. It has been continuously providing new species of animals and scientific rooms such as the anatomy of terrestrial animals so that every day is more important from the cultural and teaching point of view.
Thus we have achieved that the Museum of the Wild Fauna is considered one of the best in the world since we have practically all the species of the planet. It is worth noting the collaboration of CZULE of the University of León, which through microchips introduced into the skin of the animal have been perfectly cataloged and classified.
We have been awarded numerous national and international awards, and we are still struggling to keep moving forward with the right team and collaborators.
